General Inquiries
Who pays for the CPAP equipment?
How do I get replacement supplies?
Getting your CPAP supplies is easy! You have a choice of shopping online at Medigas Express, calling Medigas at 1-866-446-6302 or visiting your closest Medigas store.
What should I know before air travel with CPAP?
You may bring your CPAP with you in its carry bag as carry on luggage. It’s not advisable to put your CPAP in checked baggage in case you luggage is lost. Be sure to pack your machine, power cord, tubing and mask. Empty your humidifier chamber before placing it in your CPAP carry bag.
It is recommended to bring a copy of your CPAP prescription with you. Check CATSA (Canada) or TSA (US) airport security regulations for the process for CPAP. If you wish to use your CPAP while in-flight, contact your airline a few days before your departure to see if there are any restrictions, and pick a seat that has access to power. If you will need to power your CPAP using a battery, visit Medigas Express to see our selection of FAA compliant batteries.
What should I do if there is a power outage?
It is a good practice to apply for “Life Support Notification” or the equivalent with your hydro provider. If you live in an area that has frequent and/or prolonged power outages, consider acquiring a back-up generator or a battery compatible to power a CPAP device. Remember to keep your battery charged.
