COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)

Symptom Management

Managing stress and controlling emotions, hydrating with water and non-carbonated drinks, weight tracking, monitoring activities during extreme weather conditions such cold air temperatures and poor air quality readings, and avoiding strong fumes and dusty environments are all important steps to managing COPD symptoms. Knowing when to contact a doctor with the presence of certain symptoms is also key to reducing visits to the ER or in-patient hospitalization.
